Newcomer's Guide

La Féderation des francophones de Terre-Neuve et du Labrador is proud to present the latest edition of the Newcomer's Guide.

The FFTNL  believes it is important to be open to the world and to contribute to the development of individuals to grow collectively. We believe the core of this development is the integration of newcomers. We know it takes courage to settle in a new country, but a multitude of exciting opportunities are waiting for you, and your contribution will be highly beneficial to the Francophone community of Newfoundland and Labrador.

For these reasons, the FFTNL publishes this guide for newcomers to facilitate your integration into your new home.

Whether you are looking to find a home, a good school for your children or a job, this guide will inform you of the many resources available to help you in your move. Local associations are there to guide you and answer your questions during your relocation process and to help you integrate into the French-speaking regions of the province. One of the best ways to adapt to your new environment is to participate in community life and the people of Newfoundland and Labrador will gladly welcome your involvement.

The 2011-2012 edition is available online below, and in print in French schools and community centers in the province and at the various events related to immigration in which the FFTNL participates, in Canada or elsewhere in the world.
