The Fédération
des francophones de Terre-Neuve et du Labrador highlights the 8th National Victims of  Crime Awareness Week held from 21 to 27 April 2013. The theme this year is: "We all have a role."

To educate seniors and the general population, FFTNL developed for a second year, an awareness campaign in the Francophone community media. Featuring interviews, testimony and relevant information about the abuse and mistreatment, FFTNL tried again this year, offering radio shows (special 30-minutes program) from April 22 to 26 on Rafale FM. Also, the last page of Gaboteur in the edition of April 22, there is an article entitled: Making a Difference: a first step to counter crime.

Although the National Victims of Crime Awareness Week 2013 is completed, the FFTNL wanted to provide the radio shows that have been produced for this campaign. Do not forget: helping seniors victim of abuse is a social responsibility!

La Fédération des francophones de Terre-Neuve et du Labrador emphasize the National Victims of Crime Awareness Week 2012. The seventh annual National Victims of Crime Awareness Week is under the theme "Moving Forward" and will take place from April 22 – 28, 2012

To educate seniors and the general population, FFTNL has developed an awareness campaign with the Francophone media. Featuring interviews and relevant information about Neglect, Financial Abuse, Fraud, Intimidation and Violence, FFTNL wanted to offer a special broadcast of 30 minutes everyday betweem April 23 to 27 on the Rafale FM airwaves. Read the article entitled «Les abus et la fraude : Les aînés de mieux en mieux armés pour y faire face» on page 20 of Le Gaboteur in the April 9 edition, in which it is mention that seniors are better equipped to cope against Fraud and Abuse.
